One of the core programs of the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) include a cultural program which aims to promote camaraderie among PDL (Persons Deprived of Liberty). It encourages development of their self-confidence and sharing of artistic talents as a form of positive entertainment. Cultural-related activities allowed in jails include dance, singing, theatre/drama, and art workshops.
