“Mariposas” is a profound exploration of women’s empowerment in the face of social injustice and neglect. Inspired by the fusion of the name “Marie” and “Posas” (meaning handcuffs), the painting shifts its focus to a powerful metaphor about women yielding spirit of a butterfly. The central figure, a woman, holds a scale, symbolizing balance and justice. On one side of the scale rests a delicate cocoon, representing potential, transformation, and the hidden strength within women. On the other side, a blank plate symbolizes the void left by societal neglect and the unfulfilled promises of equality. The contrast between the two sides speaks to the tension between a woman’s inherent power and the systems that attempt to keep her from fully blossoming. “Mariposas” is a tribute to the strength, resilience, and unwavering determination of women fighting for their rightful place in a world that too often overlooks their worth.

The Cavite Art Fair 2025 runs from 11-13 June 2025, from 9AM to 8PM.

While photography is permitted, please refrain from using your camera flash.

Food and drinks are not allowed in the Art Fair.

The following are strictly not allowed inside the venue.

Large, heavy, or bulky bags and backpacks.

Weapons of any kind, including small knives

Pointed objects such as umbrellas and selfie sticks.

Smoking/vaping and/or drinking is not allowed.

Parking facilities are available within walking distance at the back of the New Capitol Building.

MSME Trade Fair – a marketplace for local MSMEs to sell their works and create networking opportunities with potential clients is also part of the event.

Visitors are not allowed to touch artworks unless permitted in interactive exhibitions.

Observe silence and respect co-visitors and exhibitors at all times.

Food and drinks are not allowed inside the exhibit hall. Guests shall eat at designated dining areas to protect the artwork and maintain a focused viewing experience.
